Artist in Residence

Our Homes Our Stories was an installation by artist Alaa Alsaraji inspired by how people's experiences of home shifted during the coronavirus pandemic. Through her work Alaa invited us to reflect on how these experiences could be used to imagine a healthier, more equal understanding of home in the future.

In this film Alaa outlines the process of designing and installing the installation and shares her own reflections of home. Watch visitors interact with the display, comment on their own experience of the pandemic and talk about their ideal future home.
